Fix for Issues #2 and #3 will be pushed back till next week. I needed to attend an out of town event last weekend so the new codes weren't fully prepared and tested yet.

TwitSnap / Issue #3 Slowness

Apparently Twitter API is being bombarded these days (and not to mention frequent Twitter downtime) so last week we had some feedbacks on the slowness in fetching the user status.

I've decided to put a caching mechanism to help a bit. Hopefully it will be available on the next release.

How to install TwitSnap on Blogger

Login to your Blogger account.
Select Manage: Layout
Select Edit HTML from the top nav-menu.
Insert the TwitSnap Widget code between the </body> and </html> tags.
Why specifically between these tags? Because TwitSnap modifies the HTML code between <body> and </body> tags so by putting the code outside the body will make sure the code doesn't modify itself!
Save the template.
Create your first TwitSnap enabled post like this: @webedge has now a Twitter account!

TwitSnap / Issue #2: Long URLs break widget

Long URLs may break the widget on FireFox browsers, tested on ver.2.0.0.14. On IE ver.7.0.5730.11 the extra characters are wrapped properly. We are currently working on a fix either to make the long URL wrap for FF or truncate it as a short link.

TwitSnap / Issue #1: Activation email not received

There is a current issue with Gmail being blocked by YahooMail servers when the mail is sent via Google Apps Engine.

If you have registered with TwitSnap or any other services we have but has not received your activation link because it bounced and the system is refusing you to re-register the domain then don't panic, all is not lost.

All bounced (soft) activation emails will be processed within 1-3 working days and your widget will be activated.

We will also try to re-send you a confirmation that your widget has activated, however this is done one time only. Any succeeding bounces from your email address will be ignored.
